Downtown Kings Mountain at the Joy - 202 S Railroad Ave, Kings Mountain, NC 28086. Owned and operated by Kings Mountain Little Theatre.

Parking is located directly at the theatre, and also across the railroad tracks from the theatre, there is a large parking lot located along Cherokee Street. 

​

Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the performance you'd like to attend, the theatre will be open and there is a casual musical preshow featuring real songs from the 18th Century that begins 15 minutes before every Liberty Mountain performance.

Downtown has many great restaurants like 133 West, Cherokee Grill, and Crave within walking distance from the Joy. There are also many stores and shops to visit, and the Kings Mountain Gateway Trail to get outdoors.

The Joy is a historic theatre that seats over 250 attendants, with a balcony and concessions offered at every performance.

 

Water, soda, beer and wine as well as snacks and candy are available. Liberty Mountain also has a gift shop with lots of Liberty Mountain merchandise perfect for gifts and souvenirs.

Liberty Mountain will have an Opening Night Celebration on Friday, September 19th that begins at 5:30 and includes food trucks, music, historical reenactors and vendors until the evening performance begins at 7:30pm. 

​

There will be a Special Anniversary Performance on Tuesday, October 7th for the anniversary of the actual Battle of Kings Mountain. Music and reenactors will be on site from 5:30pm until the show starts at 7:30pm.
