Actors

Principal and Ensemble roles are jam-packed with stage combat and fight choreography experiences. With accurate period-appropriate 18th century clothing and equipment, actors get more than a glimpse into the dramatic events of the American Revolution. At the heart of our performance is an educational mission: to preserve, teach, and celebrate a crucial piece of local history with national implications. Some characters are fictional, while many are historical figures who really existed. Actors get a chance to embody America’s first heroes and villains, and fight it out before live audiences!

Technicians

There are technical positions available for the 2024 Season of Liberty Mountain. All positions involve the unique challenge of reshaping an indoor performance space so that it powerfully and sensationally tells a story about a battle fought in a wooded wilderness. Advanced LED lighting, cutting edge sound design and live-firing weaponry make our show as lifelike and immersive as possible. Stage and Company Management positions are available, as well as in Costume, Prop and Set Management. Submit an updated resume to be considered for a technical position, or complete the Employment Application and include many details about your relevant experience.

Youth Internships

Parents or guardians of actors younger than 16 will need to complete the online Employment Application, and select Youth Internship Application as they begin. We are inviting young actors of all ages, and specifically between ages 7-12, to audition for both principal and ensemble positions. Youth Internship candidates will have amended schedules, receive their own dressing room/backstage space in which their parent/guardian is welcome, and a cast member experienced in childcare is designated to supervise and assist our Youth Internship actors as they gain invaluable performance experience.

Virtual Audition & Application

Local auditions are preferred (April 6th and 7th, from 3-5pm, at the Joy Theatre, 202 S Railroad Ave, Kings Mountain, NC 28086) but to increase our accessibility, we are also accepting Virtual Auditions and Employment Applications online. Just click on the link to the google form below to submit a Virtual Audition and Employment Application.
